A billionaire’s mother climbed the stairs with trembling hands… She never imagined she would leave them broken.

A billionaire’s mother climbed the stairs with trembling hands…
She never imagined she would leave them broken.

The mansion fell deathly silent.

Every footstep echoed across the marble floor as Evelyn Parker slowly climbed the grand staircase.

She hadn't come for money.
She hadn't come to ask for anything.

She only wanted to see her son—billionaire Alexander Reed.

Waiting at the top stood Victoria Lane.

Young.
Elegant.
Wrapped in champagne silk.

She looked less like a guest and more like the woman who already believed the mansion belonged to her.

“You need to stop coming here,” Victoria said, her voice as cold as the marble beneath them.

Evelyn met her gaze.

“This is my son's home.”

Victoria smiled without warmth.

“Exactly. His home.
Not yours.”

After a long silence, Evelyn spoke softly.

“You don't love my son.”

For a split second, Victoria's perfect smile disappeared.

Her eyes turned dark.

Evelyn sighed and turned to leave.

Then Victoria whispered,

“You should've stayed away.”

Two violent hands slammed into Evelyn's back.

She tumbled down the marble staircase, her scream shattering the silence of the mansion.

Seconds later...

Alexander rushed into the lobby.

He froze.

His mother lay crumpled on the cold marble floor.

“Mom...”

Before anyone could move, the head of security burst through the front doors holding a tablet.

His face had gone pale.

“Sir...”

May you like

“You need to see the security footage.”

Everything changed the moment Alexander looked at the screen.
