On a bright, sunlit afternoon, peace completely filled Mia’s new home. The sterile walls of the hospital were replaced by a beautifully decorated, warm nursery. Mia stood by the window, completely healed, holding her healthy newborn baby boy close to her chest.

Eleanor walked into the room softly, wrapping a warm handmade blanket around her daughter's shoulders. Mia looked down at her son, then up at her mother, a genuine, radiant smile gracing her face. The scars on her back had faded, but the strength she discovered within herself—and the fierce protection of her family—would last a lifetime.
