The Billionaire on the Bench: The Sandwich That Changed Everything
CHAPTER 1: THE MAN ON THE BENCH
The suited man stood frozen as the elderly stranger straightened his back and adjusted his worn coat.
Emma stared in disbelief.
Just moments ago, he had looked fragile and exhausted. Now, there was a quiet strength in his posture.
"Sir, everyone is waiting," the suited man said nervously. "The board meeting cannot begin without you."
The old man finally nodded.
Then he turned to Emma.
"What is your name?"
"Emma," she answered softly.
He smiled.
"Emma, this sandwich may be the most valuable gift I've received in years."
She frowned. "It's just a sandwich."
The man chuckled, though tears still lingered in his eyes.
"No, little one. It isn't."
He reached into his pocket and handed her a small silver card.
"If you ever need help, call the number on the back."
Before Emma could ask another question, the man entered the black car and disappeared.
That evening, Emma told her parents everything.
When her father looked at the card, his eyes widened.
"Emma... do you know who this is?"
She shook her head.
Her father swallowed hard.
"This belongs to Richard Lawson—the founder of one of the largest companies in the country."
Emma blinked.
"The man from the bench?"
May you like
Her father nodded.
But what none of them knew was that Richard Lawson could not stop thinking about the little girl who had seen him when nobody else did.
