CHAPTER 2: THE HUNTER REVEALED

My father slowly walked across the marble floor.
His eyes never left the crowd.
Especially the men standing beside my attacker.
“Ten years,” he said calmly.
“Ten years I've spent building a case against every person in this room.”
Faces turned pale.
One billionaire tried to laugh.
“This is absurd.”
My father tossed a folder onto a nearby table.
Photographs spilled out.
Bank transfers.
Secret meetings.
Bribery records.
Evidence of trafficking.
Money laundering.
Political corruption.
The laughter vanished forever.
My attacker stared at the documents.
His hands trembled.
“No...”
“Yes,” my father replied.
“You weren't attending a gala tonight.”
He pointed toward the crystal chandeliers.
“Every camera in this room has been recording for six hours.”
A woman gasped.
Another man collapsed into a chair.
The realization hit them all at once.
The gala had never been a celebration.
It had been a trap.
And they had walked into it willingly.
My attacker suddenly lunged toward me.
He was desperate.
Terrified.
Finished.
But before he could reach me, two agents slammed him face-first onto the marble floor.
The same floor where he had laughed while I bled.
“Arrest them,” my father ordered.
May you like
The ballroom exploded into chaos.
But there was nowhere left to run.
