The courtroom remained silent as prosecutors displayed the forged documents.
The altered prescriptions.
The security footage from inside the living room.
The maid's testimony.
Victoria maintained her composure until Lily entered the courtroom.
She no longer used a wheelchair.
Physical therapy had helped her regain strength after months of recovery.
She walked slowly to the witness stand.
Every step represented something Victoria had tried to take away.

When asked why she refused to sign the documents, Lily answered quietly.
"My husband married me."
"He didn't marry my inheritance."
