Renata shot to her feet.
"That recording is illegal!"
"It proves nothing!"
Before anyone could answer, the conference room doors opened.
My attorney, Isabel Moreno, entered with two investigators from the Financial Crimes Unit.
Behind them walked representatives from our company's board of directors.
Isabel calmly placed several binders on the table.
"We've completed our forensic audit."
The first binder contained forged signatures.
The second detailed fraudulent vendor payments.
The third traced millions of pesos transferred through shell companies connected to Renata's relatives.
She stared at the documents in disbelief.
"You can't prove I approved those transfers."
One investigator quietly slid another folder toward her.
Inside were emails sent from her private account.
Digital signatures.
Bank authorizations.
Security badge logs.
Every transaction carried her name.
She looked at me.
"You planned this."
"For six years," I answered.
"I survived."

"I prepared."
The chairman of the board slowly spoke.
"Effective immediately, your authority within the company is revoked."
