Police officers arrived within minutes after several guests reported the disturbance.
Scarlett's father stood speechless as Michael finally revealed everything.
Ten years earlier, Eleanor had secretly arranged for the family camping trip.
She knew that according to the Vance family trust, both daughters would inherit equal shares of the billion-dollar estate.
Consumed by greed, Eleanor drove the frightened little Evelyn away from the campsite and left her near an old roadside gas station, believing someone would eventually take the child.
She returned alone.
Then she convinced Scarlett's grieving father that wild animals must have taken the little girl.

A kind elderly couple discovered Evelyn crying beside the highway and raised her with love until they passed away.

When she became old enough, she began searching for her family.
Finding Scarlett's engagement announcement online, she accepted a temporary job at the hotel, hoping for one chance to see her sister again.
