Chapter 4: The Legacy We Chose

Five years later, our company had grown far beyond anything I once imagined.

The Eleanor Grant Scholarship had supported dozens of young engineers.

Several former recipients now led their own research teams.

On the anniversary of our wedding, Adrian and I returned to the ballroom where everything had changed.

The white roses had been replaced.

The decorations were different.

But I still remembered standing there, believing my life had fallen apart.

Adrian reached for my hand.

"If you could speak to the woman you were that day," he asked softly, "what would you tell her?"

I looked toward the empty altar.

"I'd tell her this isn't the end of her story."

"It's the beginning of the life she deserves."

As we turned to leave, laughter echoed from another wedding being prepared upstairs.

New promises.

New beginnings.

Outside, the city lights stretched across the skyline.

Our journey had never really been about revenge.

It had been about reclaiming truth.

Building something honest.

And proving that a person's worth is never decided by those who try to diminish it.

Adrian smiled as we walked toward the car.

"Ready for the next chapter?"

I squeezed his hand.

May you like

"Always."

The End.
