CHAPTER 4 – The Verdict

The courtroom remained packed from opening statements until the final ruling.

Medical experts testified about my injuries.

Digital forensic specialists authenticated every recording from the encrypted pendant.

Financial investigators explained the laundering scheme in painstaking detail.

Former employees described years of intimidation, fabricated invoices, and retaliation against anyone who questioned Nathan or Celeste.

The defense tried to claim I had orchestrated an elaborate trap.

"You did not create the crimes," he said.

"You documented them."

Nathan was found liable for orchestrating severe physical abuse and for multiple financial crimes connected to the laundering operation.

Celeste faced convictions for her role in the fraudulent network and the conspiracy that supported it.

"I lost everything because of you."

I shook my head.

"You lost everything the moment you believed power placed you above accountability."

The courtroom doors closed behind him.

The sound echoed through the hall.
