Chapter 2: The Daughter They Tried to Erase

Margaret opened the first folder.

Inside were engineering drawings.

Forecast reports.

Software development logs.

Every page carried timestamps proving one fact.

I had built the forecasting system that saved the company from bankruptcy.

Not Vanessa.

The ballroom projector suddenly came alive.

Emails appeared on the giant screen.

One after another.

Internal messages showed executives congratulating me for the breakthrough years earlier.

Then came another email.

Vanessa instructing employees to remove my name from every document.

Gasps spread through the room.

Vanessa's confident smile vanished.

"Those emails are fake."

Margaret quietly answered.

"They were recovered directly from your company's servers."

Another executive stepped forward.

"The metadata confirms their authenticity."

I watched my sister for the first time in years without anger.

Only sadness.

May you like

She had stolen my work.

But she could never steal the truth forever.
