Emma recovered in the hospital while doctors confirmed her unborn baby had survived the fall.
Several weeks later, the courtroom was packed.
The prosecution presented the surveillance footage, witness testimony, and phone records showing Victoria had repeatedly tried to intimidate household employees.
The defense argued it had been an emotional family argument.
Then Detective Harris introduced one final piece of evidence.
Emma's phone had automatically begun recording moments before the confrontation.
The jury heard Victoria say,
"You'll never inherit anything if you lose that baby."
The courtroom became silent.
No explanation could erase those words.
After only a few hours of deliberation, the jury returned its verdict.
Victoria was found guilty of assault and witness intimidation.
As officers escorted her from the courtroom, she turned toward Emma.
