Every notification brought another loss.
ACCOUNT ACCESS TERMINATED.
BOARD AUTHORIZATION REVOKED.
TRADING PRIVILEGES SUSPENDED.
His hands trembled.
"This isn't legal," he whispered.
"It is," Elena replied.
She finally accepted the folder from the chairman.
Inside were the original incorporation documents of Voss Global Holdings.
Twenty years earlier, while Damian was still in graduate school dreaming about becoming a CEO, Elena had been writing software that revolutionized international logistics.
She built the platform.
She patented the technology.
She founded the holding company.
Years later, Damian entered the business through a merger.
He believed he had climbed to the top.

"You hid this from everyone," Damian said.
"No."
"I simply allowed people to underestimate me."
The chairman cleared his throat.
"Ms. Voss has remained the controlling shareholder since the company's founding."
"Every CEO—including you—served at her discretion."
The room felt colder.
