Chapter 1: The Truth Locked Behind the Mansion Walls

Vivian Moretti's smile disappeared.
For the first time in years, fear replaced arrogance.
"Alejandro..." she began, forcing a nervous laugh. "You're misunderstanding what you're seeing."
He never looked at her.
His eyes remained fixed on Elena.
The woman he had mourned.
The woman he had searched for across three continents.
She stood only a few feet away, thinner than he remembered.
Dark circles framed her exhausted eyes.
The elegant woman who had once hosted charity galas beside him now wore a faded maid's uniform stained with cleaning chemicals.
Her bare feet trembled against the cold marble.
Alejandro slowly stepped toward her.
Every servant held their breath.
"Elena..."
His voice cracked.
She instinctively took a step backward.
The movement shattered him more than the bruises.
She was afraid...
Of him.
"No," she whispered, tears filling her eyes. "Please... don't let her punish them."
Alejandro frowned.
"Them?"
Elena glanced toward the servants.
"They helped me whenever they could."
Only then did Alejandro notice something else.
Every servant wore the same expression.
Not fear of losing a job.
Fear of Vivian.
His body went completely still.
"What happened here?"
Nobody answered.
Vivian quickly descended the staircase.
"I'll explain everything."
Alejandro raised one hand without looking at her.
"Don't."
The single word froze the entire room.
Seconds later, the front doors burst open.
Six members of Alejandro's private security team entered the mansion.
Behind them came his longtime attorney, Maria Ortega.
"Seal every exit," Alejandro ordered.
"No one leaves this house."
Vivian's face turned pale.
"You can't imprison me!"
Alejandro finally looked at her.
"I've been living in a prison for three years."
His eyes shifted toward Elena.
"It ends tonight."
That evening, Elena was taken to a private hospital.
Doctors documented severe malnutrition.
Old fractures that had healed incorrectly.
Chemical burns on her hands.
Scars from restraints around both wrists.
The reports horrified everyone.
When the physician quietly asked who had done this to her...
Elena closed her eyes.
"Vivian."
Only one name.
May you like
Nothing more.
It was enough.
