Marianne slowly sat down.
For twenty years she had believed her husband had simply become distant.

Richard closed his eyes.

He turned toward the wedding planner.
"We're postponing the ceremony."
Word spread through the ballroom within minutes.
Three hundred guests waited as Lily and Ethan stepped onto the stage together.
Lily took the microphone.
"We are not canceling our future."
"We are choosing to begin it honestly."
