Six months later, the final court hearing arrived.
The courtroom was packed with reporters, but the atmosphere was completely still as the judge slammed the gavel down. Ethan and Eleanor were sentenced to maximum prison terms with no option for parole, alongside total financial asset forfeiture to pay for Lily's medical bills and alimony. As the guards led Ethan away in chains, he desperately looked toward the gallery, begging for mercy with his eyes.
