Margaret's composure finally cracked.
"I was protecting your future!"
"No."
Nathan answered.
"You were protecting your control."
Within hours, the board voted unanimously.
Margaret was removed from every position she held within Harrison Holdings.
The former attorney lost his license after disciplinary proceedings began.
The sealed settlement agreement was declared unenforceable.
News spread quickly through Chicago's business community.
Reporters expected Nathan to deny everything.
Instead, he stood before the cameras.
"I failed my family."

Emma watched the press conference from her classroom after school.
She didn't smile.
