CHAPTER 4: THE RICHEST MAN IN THE ROOM

Three years later...
The grand opening of the Harrison Science Discovery Center drew hundreds of families.
Children filled the building with laughter.
Robots moved across classroom floors.
Telescopes pointed toward the afternoon sky.
At the entrance hung a bronze plaque.
Dedicated to every child whose dreams deserve a chance.
Below it were four names.
Nathan Harrison.
Emma Parker.
Ethan Harrison.
Noah Harrison.
A reporter approached Nathan.
"Mr. Harrison, you've completed the biggest project of your career."
Nathan smiled.
"No."
He looked across the room.
Emma was helping students launch model rockets.
Ethan was explaining a solar system display to younger children.
Noah was proudly showing visitors the telescope he had helped assemble.
Nathan walked toward them.
The twins spotted him.
"Dad!"
Both boys ran into his arms.
Emma watched quietly.
After a moment, she walked over.
Nathan looked at her.
"I know I can never recover the years we lost."
Emma nodded.
"No."
"You can't."
"But you've made sure they never doubt they're loved again."
She reached for his hand.
Not because the past had disappeared.
But because they had finally stopped letting it control their future.
As the four of them stood together beneath the bright skylight, Nathan realized something no skyscraper, fortune, or business victory had ever taught him.
The greatest legacy a person leaves behind is not measured in buildings that touch the clouds.
May you like
It is measured in the people who reach for your hand because they know you will never let go again.
And for the first time in many years, the richest man in Chicago understood what it truly meant to be wealthy.
