Chapter 2: The Truth Comes to Light
Sofia was taken to the hospital for evaluation.
Doctors confirmed she had suffered multiple bruises and severe emotional distress.
Thankfully, her injuries were not life-threatening.
Alexander never left her side.
Hours later Detective Melissa Grant arrived carrying another surprise.
"We spoke with the hotel manager."
She placed a tablet on the bedside table.
"The hallway security cameras."
The footage showed everything outside the bridal suite.
Javier unlocking the room.
Carmen carrying a folder.
Neither looked upset when they entered.
Nearly forty minutes later...
Elena rushed toward the suite after hearing screams.
She pounded desperately on the door.
The camera clearly showed Javier standing in front of the entrance.
Blocking her.
Refusing to let her inside.
Only after several agonizing moments did he unlock the door.
The detective paused the video.
She looked directly at Javier.
"You weren't protecting your wife."
"You were preventing anyone from helping her."
Javier lowered his eyes.
Carmen finally snapped.
"This family is trying to ruin us!"
