PART 2: THE WOMAN INSIDE THE COFFIN
The funeral room erupted into panic.
"Open it!" the maid screamed.
Several guests rushed forward. The husband tried to stop them.
"Don't touch her!" he shouted.
But nobody listened anymore.
The coffin lid was ripped away.
A collective gasp swept through the room.
Inside lay Victoria Hale.
Alive.
Her face was pale, her lips dry, but her chest was moving.
Weakly.
Painfully.
Breathing.
"Oh my God..."
Someone immediately called an ambulance.
The maid climbed into the coffin and grabbed Victoria's hand.
"Madam, stay with me!"
Victoria's eyes fluttered open.
The room froze.
Then she whispered four words that changed everything.
"He tried to kill me."
Every head turned toward her husband, Richard.
Richard's face turned white.
"What? That's ridiculous!" he shouted.
But Victoria pointed a trembling finger directly at him.
"I heard everything..."
The ambulance sirens echoed outside as guests stared at Richard in horror.
