CHAPTER 3: TEN YEARS LATER

Ten years passed.

Winter returned to the city.

Snow covered the sidewalks just as it had on the day Ethan's life changed forever.

Now twenty years old, Ethan stood outside a community shelter he had founded himself.

Every day, homeless children came there for food, warmth, and hope.

One evening, a volunteer rushed inside.

“Ethan, there’s a boy outside. He refuses to come in.”

Ethan walked to the door.

There, sitting alone in the cold, was a frightened young boy.

The scene felt strangely familiar.

Ethan knelt beside him.

“You look hungry.”

The boy nodded.

Ethan smiled and handed him a sandwich.

“Take it.”

The boy hesitated.

Then slowly reached out.

“Thank you,” he whispered.

Ethan gently put an arm around his shoulders.

“You're not alone.”

The boy looked up.

“Why are you helping me?”

Ethan glanced toward the falling snow.

Because years ago, someone did the same for me.

And in that moment, the circle of kindness continued.

THE END.
